EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT ECHO FOR THE ADVANCED USER
The EDE 2 Course is the most popular advanced point-of-care ultrasound course in Canada. Under the new format, the live part of the course has dropped down to 1 day and consists mostly of scanning, with brief mini-lectures and/or demos to remind participants how to do the scan. Over 85% of the day is spent scanning. Over 20 applications. Emphasis on learning image generation and image interpretation. Cutting-edge, interactive pre-course modules. Two full days of CME points. Course manual is “Essentials of Point-of-Care Ultrasound”, print book and iBook. Pre-course online quiz, extra online videos and more! You should only take EDE 2 if you have taken a basic course and use ultrasound on a regular basis. CEUS (now CPOCUS) Independent Practitioner status is not required but it is recommended.
