North York General Hospital’s Emergency Medicine Update 2010
The 2010 edition of EMU was once again a fantastic success. We had
over 650 attendees who enjoyed our superb quality CME.
Thank you all for attending and we look forward to seeing you next
year.
Highlights of this year’s conference included:
- ‘How The Experts Think’ – leading EM educators (including Drs. Mike Betzner, Sara Gray, Amal Mattu and Angelo Mikrogianakis) are presented cases and we get to see ‘how the experts think’.
- Keynote address by Dr. Ray Wiss – FOB Doc: Two Tours of Duty in Afghanistan – a moving presentation of his experiences at a front line medical station.
- Dr. Amal Mattu returns with a 2 hour seminar on The Elderly Patient in the Emergency Department, his 2 hour Dysrhythmia workshop, and an extended plenary session on The Crashing Asthmatic – Pearls and Pitfalls.
- Dr. Steve Socransky on Advanced Uses of Ultrasound in the ED
- Extended 2 hour, ‘hands-on’ seminars on ophthalmology, ultrasound, advanced suturing, and casting.
- Over 60 sessions to choose from.

Toronto.
Pre-conference courses will be held May
3 and 4.
